New Anatomical Pathologist joins Mater Pathology - Dr Cameron Snell

Mater Pathology welcomes pathologist Dr Cameron Snell to our expert Anatomical Pathology team.

Dr Snell is a tumour pathologist, and trained in Melbourne, Brisbane and OXford, UK. He is a Fellow of The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, and was the recipient of the Eddie Hirst memorial prize on completing his fellowship examinations.

Dr Snell has a particular interest in individualised cancer diagnosis and care. He was awarded the Oxford Nuffied Fellowship in 2010 which allowed him to develop new and novel diagnostic assays and complete his DPhil (PhD Oxford University) in tumour hypoxia.

Dr Snell continues to be involved in research and teaching and holds appointments also with the University of Queensland and Mater Research Institute.
