percept™ NIPT now tests for all 24 chromosomes

November 1, 2017

Unlike other NIPT offerings, percept™ NIPT assesses more than just the common chromosomal conditions. By testing all 24 chromosomes, patients have access to a comprehensive NIPT offering and a holistic overview of their pregnancies.

In addition to testing for trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome), trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome) and trisomy 21 (Down syndrome), percept™ also reports on rare trisomies, that although uncommon, can lead to complications in pregnancy development. By identifying these rare trisomies, Doctors can further monitor pregnancies with an increased risk of complications, such as fetal growth problems and early labour.

percept™ NIPT can be collected at any Mater Pathology collection centre. Please note, NIPT should not be collected prior to 10 weeks of gestational age.
